So Glad I'm Coming to ZumbaŽ class!

Going to the chiropractor 1 or 2 times a week --even 2 or 3 times a month can be costly--but worth it if you are hurting.

For me--after a few weeks of ZumbaŽ classes the chiropractor was no longer necessary. It's amazing how we can feel better, both physically and mentally when we exercise our bodies.  At least this isn't boring and repetitive--it's fun and energetic. THANK YOU!

3 months ago I started to do ZumbaŽ classes and lost 30 pounds. I weighed 245 pounds and now I'm 215 pounds. It is a big progress, but I want to lose at least 70 more pounds. I tell everybody to try it, that ZumbaŽ classes really work. I'm not doing a strict diet and also one day a week I eat everything I want with control.It's not true that you can't do a ZumbaŽ class because it's too hard, you get it and it's easy. Good luck and I invite you to come to ZumbaŽ classes at Studio ZumbaŽ.

A todos les digo que lo traten que si tunciona, no llevo una dieta estricta hasta tengo un dia a l semana que como lo que quiero con moderacion. No es cierto que no so puede a todo se acostombra uno. In January 2006, I was just past 30 and over 285 pounds - and just desperate enough to work up the courage to head into the gym again for the first time in years. Not unlike every other year I can remember, it was my New Year's resolution to get in shape. 2006 was different though, because that very first week I made my way into the gym, I found ZUMBAŽ Fitness and I met Alyce Howard.

From the moment the music started, I was literally addicted to ZUMBAŽ classes. I felt good and beautiful in my body in a way I hadn't in years. Since then, I've not only lost 80 pounds (YEAH!!!), but I've even become certified to teach my own ZUMBA class!!! Just today, I saw my own name listed as an instructor on an aerobics schedule - I literally can't believe it. I was so proud I actually took a copy to my mom's house to post on her refrigerator. I've still got some weight to lose, but I know I'll get there.


Finally, I want to say the ZUMBAŽ classes are all very different, and I've taken from many instructors since I started two years ago. Alyce and Millie at Studio ZUMBAŽ are, bar none, the best instructors I've ever met. If I'd walked into another instructor's class in January 2006, things may have turned out differently - many aerobics instructors, and even some other ZUMBAŽ teachers are still incredibly intimidating to me. Alyce and Millie, though, create space for every woman in the room - not just the outwardly perfect ones, to dance, to feel beautiful and to have fun! I consider myself very lucky to have found Zumba Fitness and met Alyce when I did, and I am unbelievably grateful.

I am so glad you are in Palm Bay!! I feel that attending the ZumbaŽ classes has given me a new outlook on life. It has really gotten me off the couch. I look forward to coming and working out at any level that I am at that week. Teacher (Alyce) is GREAT!! We move for 1 hour solid. Really a super workout and I can't wait to go back!

 I started at Studio ZumbaŽ 3 months ago with 290 pounds on me, I would run out of breath and energy within the first 15 minutes of warm up and would drag the rest of the hour of class. But I never gave up, the doctor says that I have asthma, emphysema, high cholesterol, anemia, and probably sleep apnea and to top it all he wants me to lose 100 pounds by tomorrow and strongly suggest for me to have gastric bypass surgery by tomorrow also (yeah right!) there for all these conditions to go away or minimize. But I'm going to prove him wrong... because since I've been coming to your ZumbaŽ classes I've felt great, full of energy and proud to say that I already lost 30 pounds in 3 months. I know I am on the right track and I'm always referring people to your Studio because it really works to dance your pounds away. Now I can do an hour of ZumbaŽ class and my body still wants more. My advice to those that are starting is not to give up.. you will get the steps, modify if you're getting tired or think we are "Speedy Gonzalez" too fast for you, just don't give up and watch those pounds drop!! You will want to keep coming for more because ZumbaŽ Fitness is definitely ADDICTing!!!! :)

I hate exercise! I was a dancerette in high school and loved it. But after high school ended, I started gaining weight. I tried all sorts of exercise: walking, treadmill, ab machine, rebounder, aerobics videos, and some crazy contraption that I couldn’t do for more than three minutes at a time. I hated all of them. I joined gyms and did aerobics…and hated it. I found tap dancing and jazz class, and I enjoy them, but they aren’t aerobic enough, and I can’t do them often enough to actually get fit and lose weight. 

When I heard about ZumbaŽ Fitness, I was skeptical. Even after watching part of a class I thought it was probably going to be too much like aerobics for me. But what I didn’t realize then was that ZumbaŽ Fitness is just like being a dancerette again. Each song has its own routine and I find it challenging to try to learn them before Alyce moves on to new ones. And I enjoy it when she brings back old routines that I love.

 I’ve lost over ten pounds in five months without even trying! Losing those pounds has inspired me to actually try to diet. And I enjoy doing ZumbaŽ classes so much, I became a certified instructor myself. So now I can take ZumbaŽ classes with Alyce and make up my own ZumbaŽ Fitness routines, too. I can’t figure out why no one thought of this before. 

ZumbaŽ class isn’t exercise at all! It’s dancing!
